Urban Outfitters got its beginnings as “The Free People’s Store” which opened during the 70’s in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The brand focused on “wild and funky” fashion and products for the home. Some year later founder and company head Richard Hayne, changed the brand to Urban Outfitters. The product lines have changed and grown from vintage, bohemian, retro chic, hipster, humorous, kitschy apparel and furniture to include luxury brands and several designer collaborations. According to their website, “UO established the ability to understand our customers and connect with them on an emotional level is the reason for our success.”

The online shop is easy to use and presents full views of all items and merchandising.The Urban Outfitters online shop includes the company’s own signature brand of merchandising for men, women, kids and home.
