The company is based in California and was founded by Robert Greenberg. Formly of LA Gear, which Robert also founded, he formed the SKECHERS brand in 1992. The early products we focused on work boots and skater shoes, but since then has expanded to include a wide array of styles and designs for causal, formal and athletics for men, women and kids.

SKECHERS has more than 3,000 different styles which makes a shoe for almost ever customer type. They divide their lines into two footwear categories. There is the lifestyle brand and the fitness brand. In recent years the company has broaden their reach through exclusive licenses to launch several different product lines, including; kids and sport apparel, outerwear, goods of leather, watches, eyewear, bags, and more.

Apart of the company’s massively successful marketing campaigns are the use of celebrity endorsements and collaborations.
