By 2001 Fossil had purchased the former Swiss brand of watches then in 2004 it acquired Michele Watch. These two addition turned Fossil from an importer of goods to an established and well respected manufacture of quality watches.

Their continued success gave way to collaborations with established figures in the fashion and design world. 2001 say the release of the Philippe Starck watch collection, featuring modern designs with uniquely individual movement. Over the years more well received watch collections have been released including; working with Burberry, DKNY, Diesel, Frank Gehry, Adidas, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors.Fossil has also produced a series of collectibles based on popular films and pop culture characters such as Superman, Star Wars, Pokeman and Disney Car’s. 2006 they worked with the NFL to produce the official timepiece for each NFL team.
