The created soft, flexible unstructured bags, made of leather which is woven, printed and dyed. This process made the bags more attractive and soft, akin to skin. By 1984 Fendi’s line of products includes both men and women clothing. Additional lines encompassed ties, gloves, sunglasses, jeans and house & home products. Around the same time after celebrating it’s 60 years anniversary, the company released their first fragrance, Fendi for Women. One of the original lines, Selleria, is given new life and set to be manufactured using the same processes that Adele had developed when he initially designed the line. One of Fendi’s best and most famous product in the Fendi Baguette which was released in 1997. This little bag was made to be carried under the arm and quickly became a must have in the affluient circles. Fendi eventually opened exclusive boutiques in Paris and London. Later they are brought in to the LVMH fashion group that also includes Prada and Louis Vuitton. Today Fendi has over 160 boutiques in some 25 countries around the globe. Although Fendi continues with their clothing lines, their fortunes are clearly being built on their older traditional products, such as their line of furs, fragrances, eyewear, timepiece and luxury writing instruments.
