H&M is reportedly scouting around for possible locations in Australia to set up shop. The Swedish retail giant has pegged the Emporium site in Sydney and Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne as possible opening sites, with chief executive of retail group 6one5, Bill Rooney, confirming that his real estate contacts have been approached by the company.

“There is a big footprint there for the international retailers, and to have a tenant like H&M would be pretty awesome,” said Rooney.

Japanese retail giant Uniqlo, which has long been rumoured to open in Australia, is also reportedly scouting for locations, as are Abercrombie & Fitch and Forever 21. And in further exciting news, Victoria’s Secret has also thrown its name into the ring.

“It’s believed US lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret is also eying off Chadstone as a new possible retail location,” said radio station 3AW.

The international chainstores will join the likes of Zara and Topshop in Australia, both of which have enjoyed retail success since their respective openings last year.

Good afternoon fellow fashion fans and bargain hunters, welcome back to another weekly Dealies TOP TEN. We round-up the ten best things that happened this week in fashion AND show you where to shop the trends online, for the very best online sales and discounts!

1. Olympic Supermodels – Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Rosie Huntington Whitely have been announced as part of the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony, and it is said that they will be wearing the best of iconic brit designers like Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen to this truly british bonanza.

2. Talking of la Moss, it’s rumoured that her daughter Lila is already considering a modelling career, at age 13. She’s definitely beautiful, but surely she’s too young?!

3. Shock wedding of Agyness Deyn to actor Giovanni Ribisi – the notoriously private model got married in LA with a super casual official ceremony. Whilst we’d have loved to see some great shots of Aggy looking phenomenal in white, we know she’ll have looked just as great in whatever she threw on that morning!

4. will.i.am was interviewed by UK newspaper The Guardian this week. Amongst a whole host of bonkers statements, our favourite probably was “Usain Bolt. I challenged him but it was a joke. He’s faster than me.” He also compared the Queen to his Mother, and said he wants to start learning Computer Science. classic #willpower.

5. It seems like the incessant rumours are probably true! Gisele’s pregnancy has been semi-confirmed by a publicist, despite a recent editorial shoot where she’s looking as great as ever.

6. Versace will launch a new Atelier Jewelry collection on Sunday (July 1st), which is said to feature 16 hand-sculpted rings. Eeek. Watch this space!

7. The Elizabeth Taylor movie-cum-biopic “Liz & Dick”, infamously starring Lindsay Lohan has been hounded by press since day one. Maybe we’re the only ones, but we’ve loved LiLo since Cady Heron, and are genuinely excited for a proper film rather than a PR-disaster!

8. Alessandra Ambrosio has revealed impossibly gorgeous photos of her and new born son Noah Phoenix through her facebook page. Rival Allessandra’s maternal glow and check out our new review of maternity store Queen Bee- even if you’re not preggers yourself, they have tons of great gift inspiration too!

9. Out of kilter with our rainy weather, the “Summer Sale” is currently going down at the ASOS Market Place – up to 50% off! Perfect for bagging yourself a one-off piece from an indie designer, or something vintage and irreplaceable – we’ve spent hours browsing already, come join us!

10. The 30 under 30 in NY list featured Olivia Palermo as a Style Chameleon, documenting her career since The City. Jet setting around the world, working for Piperlime and casually landing the type of magazine shoots and brand sponsorship (rocha, anyone) that most professional models would drool over. And she’s not yet thirty… we wonder what the future holds, and aren’t jealous at all… honest.

Good afternoon fellow fashion fans and bargain hunters, welcome back to another weekly Dealies TOP TEN. We round-up the ten best things that happened this week in fashion AND show you where to shop the trends online, for the very best online sales and discounts!

1. In the top spot, Topshop is officially coming to Sydney! Doors open in October, which is only 3 months at time of writing. We’re trying our very best to resist a day-by-day countdown.

2. Also in the news this week, Gisele has been officially crowned the world’s richest supermodel. She supposedly made a cool 45 million in the last year, thanks to high-profile collaborations with brands like Alexander Wang, Givenchy and high-street queen Mango. Unsurprisingly, a further eight Victoria’s Secret models featured on the list.

3. We are loving Tavi Gevinson – the Style Rookie turned Rookie Magazine editor (think fashionable feminism for kooky teens) is nothing short of awesome, and at only 16 she is already a total trend-setter in her own right. Famous for sticking to her guns, her style, and her ambitions, Tavi is a total favourite in the Dealies office. This week she interviewed the icnoic Iris Apfel at the Met, creating a thought-provoking debate about the relation of age (both old and young) to fashion. Well worth a watch!

4. Something else we’re in love with this week- the incredible accessories and jewelry from Haus of Hinton. We were lucky enough to interview Allison, the mastermind behind the brand, about her inspirations and style tips – read it heeere! Also, how toget 15% off with an exclusive Dealies-readers-only coupon code!

5. Blake Lively, a girl who really knows her accessories, has just been announced as the new face of Gucci’s perfume line. Looking gorgeous as always, it’s easy to see why!

6. The fashion Police were out in force at the Royal Ascot races; new guidelines dictated that shoulders and cleavage must be covered, skirts must be decent and hats must be hats, not fascinators. They had genuine enforces of the law on hand to drape tasteful scarves on all offenders. We predict this new modesty is yet another symptom of KMid fever.

7. Katy Perry has caught it too, we spotted her wearing an uncharacteristically mid-length, rather dignified Temperly dress to her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, which was absolutely nothing like her usual bralet/popcorn ensembles. Interesting…

8. An easy way of adapting this super sophisticated look to your winter wardrobe is definitely to make the most of the classic Trench Coat. The ever lovely Nadine from the gorgeous blog Modern Girls in Vintage Pearls wrote us a brilliant article all about her favourite Trench styles, and how to shop them through Dealies for maximum money-saving brilliance.

9. Bit more bloglovin‘… this week we were featured in the Five Fab Finds on the fabulous Fox in Flats blog AND by the beautiful Teer Wayde on her blog Curves to Kill! We agree that we certainly are fab, but we’re super excited to hear it from such lovely blogging ladies!

10. Absolutely FAB – this week also saw the launch of the Spicegirls’ Musical, yes, SPICEGIRLS MUSICAL. It’s called Viva Forever, and follows the life of a young girl called Viva who just oooozes girl power and is soundtracked by all the hits we know and love. Plus, two great things become one (ooops sorry) because Ab Fab star Jennifer Saunders is director! Our lives are absolutely spiced up.

The lovely Allison Sharp is an interior designer by day and a fashion loving wordsmith by night. She recently launched her own business, the online jewellery boutique Haus of Hinton which compliments her gorgeous blog of the same name. A firm Dealies favourite, we’re thrilled to introduce her as our very first Featured Blogger!

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina Allison now resides in Brisbane. Today Dealies finds out just how the trans-Pacific move fuelled her passion for design, her favourite sources of inspiration, and what’s next on the Haus of Hinton horizon!

1. Your love for all things creative and beautiful is totally infectious. From cut-glass lightbulbs to crazily patterned pants – your blog is packed with inspiration for both fashion and interior design. Let’s twist the standard Desert Island question, and ask which designers would you choose to help decorate your lonesome piece of paradise, and why?

Oh this is SUCH a hard question for me! I love so many designers, for so many different reasons. I think if I could narrow it down to two {and it may seem like a strange combo!} I’d go with Bobby McAlpine from McAlpine Tankersley Architecture for the space and Kelly Wearstler for the interiors. Bobby McAlpine is truly a legendary Architect out of Alabama, and someone I really admire. He’s been a huge influence on my design work for as long as I can remember. He really understands space, functionality, and restraint, but it always turns out in a beautiful, effortless way. I am lucky enough to know some friends that live in houses he’s done, so I’ve experienced them first hand and they are nothing short of genius. His classical style reminds me of the south so much, which always makes me feel at home, now that I live in Australia. I would be completely and utterly star-struck if I ever met him… He’s up there with big movie stars as far as I’m concerned. I’d definitely be a blubbering mess I think!

As for the interiors, I’d have to go with Kelly Wearstler. In my eyes, she can do no wrong, and if I’m going to be stuck on a desert island, I’d want it to be glamorous, chic, and cool. I’d be interested to see what she would do with a Bobby McAlpine house, but I’d have no doubt it’d be fabulous. I absolutely LOVE her fabrics for Lee Jofa and her Malibu chair and perforated table from her furniture collection are to DIE for. I look to her all the time for inspiration, and would love to have even an hour with her to pick her brain. I am dying to get to LA so I can visit her flagship store, and hopefully bring back a treasured piece of my own. What people need to know about me is this is my drug. I get strangely excited about furniture, fabrics, flea market finds, objects for the home…and don’t get me started on jewelry. Or shoes. I have a real addiction to this stuff.

2. You recently wrote a beautiful post about personal creativity, and finding & trusting inner style. What tips do you live by, to combine ever fickle fashion trends with your individual taste?

My style has really changed since moving to Australia, and I definitely think it’s for the better. I love the south, and will always have a place for it in my heart, but a lot of people like the same look. It’s hard to push the boundaries there, and therefore, everyone and everything ends up looking the same. I love Australian fashion and the free spirit that comes along with it. I literally used to wear cable knit sweaters, pearl earrings, and a pearl necklace every day in the winter when I was in college. Most girls did. It was kind of like the ‘Southern Girl’ look. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with that…It just wasn’t me. Now I wear black-waxed skinny jeans most of the time with either a leather jacket or fur vest from my store, Haus of Hinton. I feel like I’m finally able to express myself without being judged or thought of a ‘different’.

What I have learned is not every trend works for me and my body, and as much as I love a good floral pant on the right person, I’m not going there {although I have totally adopted the leopard print jeans!}. I love neutrals, and tend to splurge on staples, such as a great peacoat , cocktail dress, handbag, or a classic pair of shoes. I will buy into trends, but I try and do it in a way that if they are ‘out’ next month, I won’t be devastated. I wear my color mostly through my accessories and my ‘armparties’ as the Man Repeller so fabulously termed. One thing I love about having my own jewelry business is I occasionally keep one for myself if it’s not a one off piece, you know, for ‘advertising purposes’! I have one of each of the ToniMay bracelets I sell, and depending on my mood, I stack accordingly. That’s where most of my outfits get their color. When I’m feeling really colorful, I’ll throw on my Bay & Fyfe horse scarf, sometimes wearing it as a shirt. That automatically makes my day better and I can almost guarantee I won’t see anyone with the same ‘shirt’ on!

One trend I have bought in to is the Isabel Marant wedge sneakers. I am saving my pennies for those bad boys and hope they aren’t out of fashion by the time I get there! They are fabulous, and with all the walking I do around Sydney and Brisbane, they are the perfect compromise between style and comfort. I guess for me, I stick to classics mostly, but with a little edge. Like a great pair of black pants, but with a waxed finish, or a fabulous pair of black flats with silver studs. Anything that has a little more ‘personality’. Ohh, and if it’s animal print, I’m bound to love it. My husband and I joke about it all the time, but it’s like a magnet for me.

3. The last few years have been crazy for you – a continental move, founding a new business… Does Brisbane style differ to North Carolina fashion? Do you ever look back on your blog as a sort of “diary”?

There is definitely a difference in Brisbane style vs. Southern style. I’ll never forget walking down the street in Tennerife and looking at a girl and thinking ‘Gosh, she looks American!” It turned out to be a girl I went to the University of Georgia with…that’s a true story! Americans definitely have a ‘look’, and I can usually spot it a mile away. When I first got here people used to randomly come up to me in Sydney and ask where in America I was from. I got really self-conscious, I must have screamed American. At one point, I hated that. Now I’m embracing it because it’s who I am, but I don’t want to scream it all the time. I definitely think my blog has helped me through that. I still focus a lot on American designers, because they are ultimately what I grew up with and therefore love. No one will ever get me to stop reading Veranda magazine or following Bobby McAlpine, Kelly Wearstler, or Mary McDonald’s blogs, tweets, or Facebook! But I’ve also seen a huge change in my style, leaning towards more contemporary pieces that I ever would have while in the south. That goes with clothes, too. For example, I’ve always loved skulls. But it wasn’t until I came to Australia that I really started ‘collecting’ them. I was scared to even tell people back home that I liked them, now I’ve carted one back from Mexico, the United Stated, and New Zealand, to name a few. I’ve just been able to be myself.

The very first blog post I did was about horses and equine-inspired interiors. I didn’t know what else to write about. I figured since I’ve ridden horses since I was five, and I’m an interior designer, it was a good start. But really what the blog has done over the course of it’s very short life is share with it’s readers not only my love for design, fashion, art, and shopping, but it’s also given people an insight into my world. I have struggled for a long time being able to truly express my inner creativity.
That’s why I always encourage others to do it now. I swear, once you start, it will change your life.

4. The Haus of Hinton jewellery store stocks an incredible range of “one-off” pieces, including rings handmade from mountain coral by Tibetan monks – how on earth do you go about sourcing your stock?!

I’ve been lucky to be surrounded by people who own stores or are some way related to the retail industry throughout my life, so I’ve kept my ears open. I’ve always known one day I wanted to have my own business, so wherever I’ve worked, and whoever I’ve worked with, I’ve kept notes. When it finally came down to making my dream a reality, I really had more vendors and contacts than I knew what to do with. Since I have started online, I wanted to narrow it down to stuff that didn’t require a huge space for storage, so I started with jewelry. That was the practical though process behind it, but actually, it just made sense. I’ve had a love for jewelry for as long as I can remember {what girl hasn’t, right?} and most of my ‘notes’ were for jewelry. Designers I liked, designers I hadn’t been able to find in Australia, up and coming designer, etc. However one of my favorite things to do is scour through a city, searching for the next designer or one off piece. That’s how I found ToniMay, just searching through Sydney. I saw the label, and met the designer behind it, Laura, and was sold. A similar thing happened with Bay & Fyfe, although I was already looking for her!

I guess I relate finding the one off pieces to antique shopping. A lot of it is searching and sifting through all the junk that is out there to uncover a couple of treasures. I’m particular about what I buy for the store, so I’d rather have a few beautiful things than hundreds of ‘OK’ things that you can find on every street. I’m happy to have some of the pieces sit for a while and wait for the right person to come along. That doesn’t bother me at all. One of the coolest things happened to me the other day. A US soldier in Afghanistan emailed me saying his girlfriend loved turquoise and he thought she’d love one of my one off rings. He knew it was a symbol of protection and wanted to give it to her so that when he had to go back for his second deployment, she would know she was safe. That makes my job worth it. Knowing how special these pieces are to me, and now will be to someone else.

When it comes to buying things, I really just follow my instinct. I always ask, ‘If this doesn’t sell, and I’m stuck with it forever, would I be happy to wear it?” If it isn’t yes, I won’t buy it. I really believe that if you don’t love it, you won’t be able to sell it. That may sound like an old car salesman trick, but it’s the truth. Everything I have through Haus of Hinton I truly love, and think anyone could wear it, depending on how it is styled.

5. There are quite a few other famous fashion ‘Houses’; Nicole Richie’s House of Harlow, House of Holland, Alice McCall’s House of Wilde, and even the bonkers Haus of Gaga… Where do you think Haus of Hinton fits in this range of street-wise to avant garde?

Indeed there are many ‘Houses’, and I’m honored to even be in the same sentence as those you mentioned. I think what you’ll always be able to expect from Haus of Hinton is quality, unique, limited edition pieces that you won’t see everywhere else. I don’t buy based on trends. I don’t buy things because I know they are going to sell. I buy things for their craftsmanship, exceptional style, beauty, and first and foremost, quality. Most of the pieces I sell are handmade, which is important to me, and I only deal with real stones. I would definitely say some of my pieces push the boundaries a little bit for people, taking them out of their comfort zone. Not everyone is as addicted to skulls and spikes like I am, and I do have to remind myself of that from time to time. However, I think when done tastefully, a pair of earrings with skulls, or a cuff with gold pyramids can fast become your go to accessory. In that sense, I would say Haus of Hinton is more on the Avant-garde side of the spectrum, but still in the moderate zone a little bit too. I don’t think I could ever classify a little drusy necklace as Avant-garde. But they sure are stunning!

6. …. And finally, what can we look forward to seeing from Haus of Hinton in the future?

Haus of Hinton is going in some exciting directions at the moment! You can expect some more one off pieces, as well as a line of jewelry designed just for Haus of Hinton down the track. I’m not quite sure when it will be available as it is in early planning stages, but keep an eye out for it! I’m also working with the lovely designers and artists behind ToniMay and Bay & Fyfe, my two Australian labels, for an exclusive collaboration for Haus of Hinton. That will be available sometime in mid-September, and we are all so thrilled! We’ll be using Bay & Fyfe’s scarves from their second Pastel Zoo series and letting Laura from ToniMay work her magic to make them into limited edition necklaces and cuffs. These two women are so talented, and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this with them.

My dream is to one day have a small brick and mortar store filled to the brim with beautiful things, ranging from jewellery, antiques and one off pieces of furniture, to home wares and accessories. Whether that is in Brisbane, or Sydney, you’ll just have to wait and see! But I do think a couple of pop-up stores are in our future…

Good afternoon fellow fashion fans and bargain hunters, welcome back to another weekly Dealies TOP TEN. We round-up the ten best things that happened this week in fashion AND show you where to shop the trends online, for the very best online sales and discounts!

1. If you, like us, love yourself a bit of Jessie J – you can buy a jacket worn by the songstress herself on none other than EBAY! It’s currently received a grand total of ZERO bids, but with 6 days still to go before the end of the Auction, we predict one serious bidding war…

2. This week Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, twins extraordinaire, announced a high-street line called which will be hitting our shores shortly. We can’t get enough of The Row and can’t wait for a totally affordable line from these super stylish siblings.

3. Hair extensions yeah, but eyelashes? Falsies, tinting and, of course, mascara – we all know the tricks of the trade… or do we? Did you know that eyelash extensions add up to 80 extra lashes to each eye, giving you the same thick, perfectly curved effect but with zero maintenance for up to 4 weeks. Cut some time from your morning routine, and give your lashes some loving!

4. Another Dealies’ fave, Alexa Chung has been announced as the new face of contemporary French brand Maje for their A/W 2012 collection. The early morning shoot took place at Parisian metro station Porte des Lilas, and shows the model/It girl looking like a sun-bleached 60′s heroine. We love.

5. With winter it’s all about layering, and what’s underneath your clothes matters just as much! There are some seriously incredible sales going down at our all time fave lingerie shop, Bras n Things. It would be rude not to share!

6. Keen to splash through some puddles in style?? We love our leather boots, large or small, brown black or beige – from edgy ankle boots to sexy knee-highs, it’s time to throw away the thongs and embrace the best of the season’s bootwear.

7. We realise this blog is turning into a shrine to the brilliance of Emma Stone, but seriously, check her looking this good on the red carpet of the Spiderman premiere. Her black lace Gucci gown was a lesson in how to wear black and look far from boring… the detailed panelling and luxe-goth vibe was a stark contrast to her super pale complexion and blonde locks. We can’t help thinking that her trademark red-head would have set this look off even more perfectly, though.

8. Sportswear Luxe? Not something we particularly enjoy hearing as a combo, but Net-a-Porter is insisting that simple sweats and jumpers can be blinged up and worn for best. Jury’s out on this one, we vote you check it out for yourself…

9. The most recent news from bonkers art collective Haus of Gaga is that the Lady herself will be releasing a Lady Gaga perfume called Fame, to be available from September ’12. Fingers crossed it doesn’t smell like raw meat…

10. And finally, our news of the week - Johnny Depp is back on the market! The split of this year’s CFDA Individual Style Award winner from Vanessa Paradis is official. Is it wrong to be this jubilant?

Good afternoon fellow fashion fans and bargain hunters, welcome back to another weekly Dealies TOP TEN. We round-up the ten best things that happened this week in fashion AND show you where to shop the trends online, for the very best online sales and discounts!

1. Tony Awards – Amanda Seyfried looking oh so provocative in a beaded dress reminiscent of an old Broadway boudoir. We loved her bold red accessories, too. Other approved looks include Laura Osner looking like a peacock, and Beth Behrs in her plunging v-necked red dress with a peep-hole back. To conclude – now the weather’s getting cooler, we just find ourselves inexplicably drawn to jewel tones and bold hues. The general style trend was a mishmash of classic and 1920′s nostalgia – something we’re excited to shop into our own wardrobes.

2. And how are we going to do this, you ask? Firstly, we’re going to get our grubby little mitts on some beads! Beaded tops, beaded dresses, beaded skirts, heck, even beaded jewelry (whatever next). Beaded detailing provides the same luxe as sequins or sparkle, but with more movement and in a more… refined way. This means that you can have tons of fun dressing up or down your multi-talented beaded pieces – look great with some killer heels and a statement lip – but just as great with a casual blazer for a day look too!

3. Next up – headwear. Hair bands, fascinators, shiny clips… you name it, we want it all. Cunningly use something to disguise your rainy winter hair, or go all out for a proper prohibition-era glam as seen in this stunning screen shot of Carey Mulligan from the hotly anticipated Baz Luhrmann adaptation of The Great Gatsby.

4. Shoes are an often overlooked accessory of the 1920′s – remember, a lower boxed heel and a Mary Jane will give you an authentic Fitzgerald feel! Find some great retro-inspired shoes at StyleTread.

5. Nicole Richie tweeted a pic of her new dip-dyed sugary pink hair, a trend we’ve seen on January Jones and many others who are experimenting with the balayage trend. Have you experimented with color yet? We want to know your stories!

6. Actress Jessica Chastain has been revealed as the new face of YSL. On speaking of the collaboration, she said she was thrilled to be associated with a brand which embodies such “feminine audacity” – and we can’t wait to see the result. We’ve always had a girl crush on her perfect complexion and auburn locks, and can’t quite believe that this is just the first time she’s been picked up for a beauty campaign!

7. Sticking with Beauty for a sec, Louboutin has just announced a line of beauty products to be released in the fall! Although we’re not qute sure what to expect, we know for sure that we’re excited.

8. It’s time to pay our respects to Chanel’s iconic Little Black… Jacket. Galleries in New York and Taipei have installed exhibitions dedicated to the equally timeless but not quite as Audrey-ed little black number. The jacket paved the way for a multitude of the styles we love and wear today, and can be seen echoed in this season’s trends…

9. We’re seeing an awful lot of Winter Knits floating around the blogosphere at the moment – perhaps something to do with the colder weather, but we’re not quite sure. So far, we can tell that toned down cable knit, as opposed to the chunky trends of last year, are going to lead the way on wrapping up this winter. Look for merino or alpaca blends to keep the look lighter. Jumpers are also taking on much more structure – stripes, belts, buttons, ribbing, and turtlenecks galore. Shop the look with Marc Jacobs or Chloé through Net-a-Porter, or wait for….

10. In the top spot this week, MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA for H&M! The slightly unlikely but absolutely brilliant combo of the rebellions, elusive and largely anonymous french line with the swedish high-street retail giants is something we’re already holding our breath for. The release date has been decided as November 15th, and so far they’ve hinted at a women’s winter jumper with pin and rib detailing, and a military style mens coat – stay tuned for more updates as we count down the days til we can look moody and mysterious in our very own Margiela! Read more about the enigmatic french house here!

Good afternoon fellow fashion fans and bargain hunters, welcome back to another weekly Dealies TOP TEN. We round-up the ten best things that happened this week in fashion AND show you where to shop the trends online, for the very best online sales and discounts!

1. Last week, we woke up to find the world a very different place. Richard Nicholls (fast becoming Dealies’ most namedropped designer) finally launched his capsule collection of BRIDAL wear for none other than Topshop. Now, we’re unsure how to feel about this… affordable, quirky and, most importantly, youthful bridal wear will never ever be a bad thing in our books, but is it somehow reducing the “specialness” of a bride’s big day if her dress can be found in the window of the retail giant throughout the entire world? Answers on a postcard please.

2. Office Wear – a different kind of special-wear! With 50′s fashion back in Vogue (quite literally…), Mad Men fever has been sweeping the catwalk in fashion shows and the work place. Personally, I think we have a generation problem here… if a new breed of business superstar (oh hey Mark Zuckerberg) is normalising hoodies and sneakers, does this mean that **finally** dressing for comfort and success aren’t mutually exclusive? Or will we sacrifice professionalism in the name of modernism? Either way, here at Dealies we know how to rock a pencil skirt and that’s never going to change!

3. Winter Makeup – after reading advice by everyone from Tim Gunn to James Böhmer, we can exclusively reveal to you, dear Dealies reader, that there is no conclusive way to make-up your features for winter weather. Yep it’s going to rain, and when it does that smokey eye wont look so hot… and when the wind is whipping your hair back and forth, into your face, that plum-coloured lippy will categorically not stay in place. In the end, all we can offer you is our mother’s advice – stay hydrated, moisturise religiously to guard from dodgy air-con, and remember that nail varnish is actually really fun…

4. Winter Hair – so, no surprises – our advice definitely doubles up here. But, with hair, it’s important to remember that although you’ll look like a drowned rat half the time – the days when you don’t, you’ll feel fabulous! Also hats are making a huuuge comeback this season, to jubilant cries of joy from frizzy-haired ladies nation wide. There’s no such thing as a “hat person”, so just find one you like and shove it on! Say hello to blow-dry free mornings and an extra half an hour in bed! Yipeee. (Check out this gorge one from Market HQ!)

5. Banana Republic have released the perfect antidote to our winter-themed blues. Their bonkers, and genuinely bananatastic new print inspired by Palm Springs is vibrant, resort-y and redonkulously cheerful. Whilst we suggest stocking up on the gorgeous chiffon dresses for when the sun’s back in business, their blouses and scarfs will make the ideal contrast to the grey skies above. Shop the look for an exclusive Dealies discount!

6. True love, or totally bananas? Incase you’ve been living in a hole, Miley Cyrus is only getting married.. and to Australia’s very own Liam Hemsworth. “He’s grown up so fast!” we hear you cry! Nah, he’s still 22, and Miley is yet to turn twenty. Place your bets on the wedding dress now… we’re imagining studs and a lot of side boob. Uh oh.

7. If you’re not a fan of Disney Channel darlings, it’s time to take cover. Justin Bieber‘s coming! After the chaos caused by his appearence in Oslo just last week, we can’t wait to see how the Australian Beliebers will react when presented with their hero. And for those of you who can’t resist a bit of the Beebs, we suggest a pair of sunnies to keep a low profile whilst you’re screaming for an autograph…

8. The Olsen Twins aka. Queens of Accessorising swooped the big prize at the Council of Fashion of Designers of America awards this week, with their line The Row taking home the trophy for Womenswear Designer of the Year. We’d hate to say we were wearing The Row before it got famous, but…

9. Next week Full Figured Fashion Week will be taking place in New York City! We LOVE FFF, and can’t wait to see what our favourite designers have been getting up to! We’re expecting big things from 17 Sundays, Lane Bryant and Ashley Nell Tipson, so make sure you check back next week for our full review! In the mean time, why not have a quick browse of all the insanely great deals going down at Taking Shape.

10. MTV Awards – Always a biggie on the Fashion calendar. This year saw Julia Jones in NEON, Leighton Meester playing it cool and casual, and Emma Watson looking futuristic (but in a good way). Our favourite had to be Emma Stone in monotone, but where’s the ginger gone?!

Good afternoon fellow fashion fans and bargain hunters, welcome back to another weekly Dealies TOP TEN. We round-up the ten best things that happened this week in fashion AND show you where to shop the trends online, for the very best online sales and discounts!

First up this week is the Not-so-new Blogger on the Block, Zanita, the Sydney based blogger featured this month on Cosmo! And it’s easy to see why; this is one talented fashionista! From styling to photographing, designing and modelling, Zanita is a fashion all-rounder. Her blog is quintessentially Aussie, representing a range of great local designers and Zanita uses her self-taught photography skills to add her own edge to catwalk snaps. If you’re in search of some understated cool fashion inspiration, check.this.girl.out.now.

Second in line is the new (and incred!) Ralph Lauren womens’ Modern Brights range. That’s right; it’s no longer just the boys having all the colorful fun over at RL. The new line = a total revamp of the typical (Zzz…) plain color polo and includes amazing neons in a rainbow of hues!

Back to the boys now and Topman is where it’s at this week/month/season/year! The latest trend at Britain’s No.1 highstreet store is AFRICLASH, an edgy explosion of tribal African prints with modern and traditional designs. Think layer stripey space-dyed knits over bright and bold boxy tees and African print shirts with rolled-hem chinos or contrast patterned Bermuda shorts. Send your boyfriend WILD this summer, ladies!

Staying across the water for our number 4 this week, we’re at the CANNES Film Fest 2012. And my, were there some sights to be seen. The Dealies make-up trend fave has to be the All-Over-Glow, sported by the likes of Karolina Kurkova, Erin Wasson, Freida Pinto and Liu Wen. While most women can’t live without a trusty highlighter, these celebs rocked the most incredible primers down the red carpet, exuding radiant complexions to die for. For your very own exceptionally gorgeous and glowing skin, check out House Of Fraser!

Speaking of Cannes, it’d be rude not to mention some of the equally glam hairstyles on show throughout the festival. Our No.1 in the hair-stakes has to be the High Hair look! Hair on the Cannes red carpet was either worn out and over the shoulder or pinned up and given height. In the pinned department, Dealies Loved (with a capital L) Megan Gale’s victory-gone-punk rolls and Fan Bingbing’s dramatic bun!

Numer 6 requires we hop back Down Under and what better reason to do so than to TIE THE KNOT?! If you’re having planning problems or are thinking well ahead, you need to check out Net-a-porter’s new wedding shop; a fun and time-savvy way to sort out all your big-day fashion needs, from your dream designer gown to glam bridesmaids’ frocks and even sweet ensembles for the mother of the bride. With just a simple mouse click, you can also pair your gown with matching accessories and shoes using the outfit creator tool, which will combine all your chosen pieces to make sure you’re happy with the look! Don’t forget to check out the Little White Book too for other vitals like undergarment options, honeymoon hotspots (with clothes to pack) and a bridal fitness plan! Could you ask for anymore?

Next Up: Miss Selfridge! Join in the Queen’s Jublilee celebrations with some fabulous British- inspired pieces. We’re talking union jack emblazoned t-shirts, sweaters and sleeveless dresses in light pastel summery hues.

Add to your summer wardobe with the scorchin’ hot dresses currently available at New Look too. We here at Dealies are finding it impossible to pick between the leopard print, off-the-shoulder floral and neon pink maxis OR the shimmery, sheery and pvc-y bodycons, guaranteed to maintain the glam this summer! What are your faves this season?!

In penultimate place this week is the BANG-on-trend Old-Skool Collar, adored by Pixie Lott, Peaches G and Rose Byrne this year. We here at Dealies just can’t get enough of it and love it’s geek-chic vibe. First place has to go to Natalie Portman though who rocked a gold embellished collar at the 22nd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, and.looked.fabulous.

And, ladies, the gold medal this week goes to the one and only Queen Elizabeth. That’s right – royalty still reigns supreme. Having been named the world’s most glamorous woman in 2007 by British Vogue, Her Royal Majesty has proven that despite the passing of numerous decades and infinite trends, good grace and regal elegance are styles that will never go out of fashion!

Good afternoon fellow fashion fans and bargain hunters, welcome back to another weekly Dealies TOP TEN. We round-up the ten best things that happened this week in fashion AND show you where to shop the trends online, for the very best online sales and discounts!

1. Kicking off this week’s list with a snip rather than a bang, Eugene Souleiman (aka. fashion week hair hero) suggests that we all go for the chop! A rough-cut, blunt-edged style is the look of the moment, long or short, and is joyfully low-maintanence. We’re sold!

2. The other trend currently fixating the fash pack is Balayage – but what is it, exactly? According to our sources, when people use this word they are referring to highlights done free-style, creating a less rigid look that (best of all!) wont grow out… It’s typically used to create a dip-dye or gradual effect, changing the color from root to top. So now you know! As demonstrated in the pic, it looks most effective on long, wavy hair, which leads us to…

3. Delta Goodrem! As The Voice heats up we’re appreciating Delta’s style more and more. Grecian dresses and bizarre plaits galore, she always looks utterly flawless. Make sure you tune in each week, if only to take inspo from her incredible array of frocks and soft tailoring.

4. Talking of – Tailoring still reigns supreme. After Chris Esber’s knock-out show at MBFWA (read all about it heere), we are clamouring for the tailored look. Less frothy boho, more, lets be honest, grown up. Plus, it’s the funnest to layer and experiment with – perfect in colder weather.

5. Over all that tailoring, you’re going to need something sturdier for a rainy day. Winter Coats are looking their very best when chic, simple and preferably belted. As always, David Jones stocks the best in the business.

6. Moving face-wards, a Plum lip is the color of the moment. It’s dark, brooding and flatters every skin tone – it’s a little goth, a little edgy, all of which we like, and has been recentlychampioned by Lana del Rey (did she borrow hers from Manson, we wonder…)

7. With a make-up look that strong, you’re going to need accessories to match. Ignoring everything we think we know about gold and silver, Mixed Metals is back and seemingly here to stay. It doesn’t have to bold and brash, though, you can still work the look through daintier accessories too, but OTT is definitely a winner when it’s in every metallic hue under the sun. As always, ASOS accessories is utterly brill.

8. It’s just been announced that the shiniest of stars, the gorgeous Brad Pitt, is to be the first male face of Chanel No. 5. Dealies is totally looking forward to seeing his face plastered over billboards everywhere – great decision Karl and co.!

9. The tension for this year’s Woolmark Prize, which will be presented on July 16, is absolutely hotting up. The competing lineup features Carl Kapp, Christopher Esber, Dion Lee, Kym Ellery, Magdalena Velevska, Romance Was Born and Song For The Mute – refer back to the Dealies MBFWA guide for a who’s-who – and will see them enter garments crafted from at least 80 per cent wool. Designer Richard Nicoll will be juding, with a criteria emphasising ingenuity and the unexpected.

10. The real winner this week, though, is a certain EVA LONGORIA – the Desperate Housewives actress undoubtedly stole the show at the International Cannes Film Festival 2012, when her stunning Marchesa dress left the rest of the red carpet in the shade. While we unfortunately can’t get you the same dress (or an occasion to wear it!), LUISAVIAROMA is our one-stop shop for glam and glitz. See what you can find when you shop with a Dealies coupon code – try and give Eva a run for her title!

FASHION WEEK DAY FIVE – FINALE! Welcome back, for the last time, to our day-by-day, super exciting coverage of Fashion Week Australia! Every day we’ve run you through some of our favourite shows and helped you find the look online, and today will be no exception With vouchers, online sales and promo codes, Dealies are here to ensure you get the hottest Fashion Week fashion straight off the runway and save money while you’re at it!

Suboo kicked off Day Five of Fashion Week today setting the bar super high for the acts to follow! The collection exuded modern minimalism and couldn’t help but get us seriously excited for summer with all the fabulous beachy-lifestyle accessories and their ready to wear apparel. The show was all about the cheery abstract prints, shots of chartreuse, and anglaise-like perforated cottons expertly cut and spliced to make figure-fitting and incredibly sexy maxi dresses. Contrasting crochet edging was another star of the show, along with the colour-spliced panels on knife pleated skirts and racer necklines. Now, while competition was tough, we did manage to pick out a Dealies Favourite: Sheer Neon Green Maxi – this semi-structured, semi-not piece, in a colour only workable with a tan is just perfect for summer! Buy your very own Suboo designs at David Jones today!

The Akira show was just as delicately worked, intricately detailed and full of intriguing textures and textiles as we could have wished. Absolutely one of Dealies favourite shows of the week, the dresses from Akira Isogawa were blooming with life and vibrancy, whilst remaining true to the design influences of traditional Japanese shapes, cuts and techniques. We have no idea how he does it, but Akira transforms material into something other-worldly, or, in this case, mysteriously aquatic. Conjuring clothes into coral and floral guises, we were fully absorbed by every look. Luckily showing in new venue The Box, we got to see each piece intimately enough to gasp at every inch of its perfect attention to detail. Dealies Fave: although it’s a near battle between the Akira Bridal (stunningly ethereal without a single inch of soppiness), we absolutely fell in love with the striking wedges in contrasting colours, an incredibly perfect accessory choice.

We can best sum up the Bless’ed Are The Meek collection as “Edgy Sea-Nymph” – a look we are partly assured they were striving for, as the MAC hair & makeup team gave a step-by-step account to creating the ‘water baby’ look. Assymetry, texture, lustre and revealing cuts were the name of the game, and here at Dealies we completely lapped it up. The semi-aquatic vibe was consolidated with shell-detailing, scale-like textiles and plenty of watery shine, but sexed up with fierce construction and an incredible array of body-harness jewelry. Ranging from short shorts to plunging necklines, glam dresses with cut-away detail and slouchy shirts with a sportswear vibe, Blessed Are The Meek clearly have the midas touch. We expect to see huge, huge things from this cult brand. Dealies Favourite: The Finale Look (pictured) – a mindblowing amalgamation of the entire show – the tumbling coral-like lace combined with the black straps( referencing the harness accessories) and the animalistic mask – brilliance.

Studded trims, brightly coloured denim and ALOT of red were the order of the day (show!) at Nana Judy this evening and boy, did it go down well. Accompanied by a live band (Amy Meredith is one.to.watch), the show was featuring its womenswear debut and consisted of cute black bra slash bikini ensembles with contrasting cropped denim jeans! As we couldn’t bring ourselves to decide on just ONE favourite today, we here at Dealies decided to go for the ENTIRE denim range. How could we possibly pick just one of these fabulous denim colours?! The Nana Judy collections are available just for YOU at David Jones.

Sadly this brings us to the end of MBFWA for another year! We hope you’ve enjoyed our runway run-downs and the tips & tricks for shopping the MBFWA designers online – keep watching for next week’s fashion focus blog on more great online shopping sites to find the show’s stellar designers and best trends!
